Thermo cup, Cecilia, dusty blue, 31 cl
Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen in 1918. At a very early age, the Danish artist began to show signs of his talent for drawing and creating imaginative worlds.
His style was anything but 'conventionally Danish'. While functionalism ruled the roost in Denmark, Wiinblad went the other way, using a style dominated by wavy lines, bright colours and romantic worlds.
No matter what surface or medium Bjørn Wiinblad chose for his creations, his style was instantly recognizable and truly inimitable. His joie de vivre shines through in each and every product.
Bjørn Wiinblad’s abiding dream was to convert his home into a working museum for young artists. For every product sold a donation goes to the Bjørn Wiinblad Fund.
The cup motifs are, just as was typical in Wiinblad’s lifetime, applied by hand so making the cups an especially high quality production.
The china by Bjørn Wiinblad is available in various colours and can be feely combined so that you can create an individual and colourful world of your imagination.
Avoid burning your fingers
The special design of the thermo cup ensures that you do not burn your fingers.
It is designed with a double-chamber principle, whereby the inner cup makes no contact with the outer porcelain shell. Therefore, the cup will remain pleasantly warm to hold – without burning your fingers.
Keep your drink hot
The thermo cup ensures that your coffee and tea stay at the right temperature for longer. The double chamber is filled with air, which serves as insulation and helps keep your drink hot.
Leave the plug in place
Leave the plug in place at the bottom. It prevents water from entering the double chamber when you wash the cup in a dishwasher.
