Grind size medium-coarse
Brew water 270ml + some extra to rinse & preheat
Water temperature 85°C

 

1. RINSE AND PREHEAT
Place the filter in the basket. Attach the basket to the brewer and put it on the cup. Preheat both with hot water. Dump the rinse water.
Pour some hot water over the plunger to preheat and lubricate.

2. BLOOM
Put in the ground coffee on the filter and zero out the scale. Start the timer when you add the hot water. Add 40ml of water. Make sure all the grounds are saturated.

3. ADD WATER
At 0:20 start pouring water gently in circular movements until the volume reaches 270ml in total.

4. PLACE PLUNGER AND WAIT
At 1:00, place the plunger in the tube. Do not yet press.

5. PLUNGE
At 1:15 start with gently pressing down the plunger.
Stop pressing at 2:00 just before all the water is pressed through.

6. SWIRL, SERVE AND ENJOY
