Gakuyu-ini is located in the central highlands of Kenya. It is part of the Thirikwa Cooperative Society. The factory has almost as many female members as male members. They have been one of the factories to pay the best prices to farmers for the past years. The ash from the Mount Kenya has created deep, rich soils in the area. This lot from Gakuyu Ini is one our favourites. It is delicate and structured and has an amazing complexity. It has great classic acidity, lively on your tongue with flavour notes of rhubarb and green apple.
