Oscar and Francisca’s farm is located at the foothills of the Poás volcano. They own about 38 ha of land which is divided into multiple plots with different varieties and growing conditions. The Chacón family has been growing coffee on this land for more than 80 years. The farm used to produce washed coffees, but after an earthquake in 2008, access to water became very difficult. They dared to process the cherries naturally - back then considered as inferior - and became Costa Rica’s pioneers and experts in natural and honey processed coffees. This particular lot is a yellow honey, meaning part of the mucilage ferments on the beans, and results in a fruity and sirupy cup. Enjoy!
